I got extremely sick of the way it was shot :/ I was just praying for scenes with a steady cam ugh.

That was one of my favorite things about it! It felt so REAL. Like you were a physical part of everything happening.
Eh. I agree to a point. But I wanted to actually be able to see what was going on and the sets and stuff. I couldn’t fully appreciate anything because I didn’t have the time to really look at it.
This is one of the few complaints I have. Hand-held camera shots are supposed to be used in moderation to create chaos and give you that real life feeling; however, I believe the movie used way too much of this technique and it became a little too disorientating and distracting. In the fight scenes, yes, hand-held is a great effect. But when you are establishing settings or characters you should be as steady as possible to help the audience get their bearings.
OTHER THAN THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE MOIE ^.^ There were obviously some things that I wish they put in the movie and some scenes that I would have done differently, but thats the way it is with book adaptations. :) i am really happy with the director’s interpretation! :D
And I must say, I laughed my butt off when Caesar quickly smiled this odd grin at the camera and had more of his smiles on the billboards behind him bahahhah it was hilarious! AND OMFG PEETA IS SO ADORABLE

A Gale Christmas Carol

Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, there is still a lot about this season that is just different than the rest of the year. Students come home, families come together, and whole entire neighborhoods and cities put up semi-annual treats for the eyes. It is a special season that only comes once a year, so there’s always a lot of high hopes that such a change in the season will bring the change in people as well. And I believe this season is indeed a season of transformation. Everyone is a little different around this time of year, and we are all put into different situations than we normally aren’t used to that come with being together with more family and more holiday activities, plus…all the SHOPPING that must be done. Gyah! It’s all bound to drive a person crazy. But when it comes down to Christmas day, the moods just lift and everyone can just be relax and be joyous. It is indeed an interesting season, but it is a blessed one.
I wanted to use the Scrooge story because I think it is a beautiful and perfect story that is a wonderful telling of how much a person can change around this time of year. It’s a tale I can hear over and over again and watch re-imaginings of and never get tired of it. I thought Gale would be a great fit for a Scrooge story because of all that goes down at the end of the Hunger Games series. We get lots of asks in our ask box asking if Gale ever talks to Katniss ever again, and in all honesty, I think Gale is probably a stubborn mule of a scrooge, and most likely doesn’t breathe a word to her for the rest of his life.
But, in the spirit of the holidays, I present to you Gale Hawthorne, with a change of heart.

Sorry for the mass upload, guys. This is the first time I have ever finished a comic, and I’m quite excited to show it! This was such a neat learning experience for me. Although it is obvious in the comic where you could see me rushing to get it finished, and there are some missing transitional scenes in the story, and probably even tons of grammar errors, but all in all, I feel so happy about actually finishing a slightly coherent story that I just wanna cry. Seriously. You have no idea how much I labored over this baby…I really wanted to make the Christmas deadline, but I guess a New Years deadline will have to do. Just as long as you guys can read it and enjoy it. :]
